Important Note to Families:

You can help your neighbor (classmates) by SCREENING FOR SYMPTOMS and staying home if any exist.  The good news is that the variant is weaker than the delta strand but is more contagious and more quickly progressing (less symptoms).  PLEASE have 24 hours without any cold-like symptoms before coming to school, or when returning between days 6-10 after testing positive.

BiNax tests supply is very low at HSD.  This has caused us to focus on classroom testing based on positive pool tests and away from the morning drive-through testing and various unique situations.  Please look to your insurance company to order tests and or go to testing.gov (https://special.usps.com/testk...)

We have an order of 800 coming to the school within a week and we should be able to resume drive-up service for families.  There are testing sites at the Bangor Airport and various pharmacies.

If you have questions please reach out to your school nurse or principal.

I hope that we are reaching the peak of the variant with some light at the end of this tunnel.

Please be kind to each other and love your neighbor.  Thank you for your teamwork.

Have a great weekend.

Stay well.
